The Pre-Plans module is where your agency builds pre-incident plans -- the information crews need on arrival at a target hazard. Every pre-plan is attached to a property, organized into named sections, and can include marked-up photos and aerial maps.
What is in the module
- Starting a pre-plan -- How to create a new pre-plan and link it to a property.
- The nine pre-plan sections -- The templated content sections every pre-plan can use.
- Adding a canvas: photos and aerial maps -- How to bring images into a pre-plan.
- Drawing on a canvas -- The annotation tools: freehand, rectangle, arrow, polygon, and text.
- Pre-plan statuses and approval -- The draft, in-review, approved, and archived statuses.
- Versions and history -- How approval snapshots work and how to look at older versions.
How to get to Pre-Plans

What a pre-plan is for
A pre-plan is meant to be useful in the first five minutes of a response, not a 40-page binder. Write it for the officer riding the first-due engine. Keep the hazards section to the things that will actually change tactics. Put the utility shutoff locations on a marked-up photo, not in a paragraph. Approve it, version it, and update it when the building changes.
