The Inspections module is where your fire prevention bureau plans, runs, and reports fire inspections of the buildings in your district. Every inspection links to a property and tracks findings, photos, signatures, and follow-ups in one place.
What is in the module
- Starting an inspection -- How to create a new inspection from a property or from the inspections list.
- Adding findings -- How to record what the inspector saw, including severity, description, location, and photos.
- The inspection code library -- How code suggestions work and how your agency can add its own.
- Signing an inspection -- The inspector and the property representative both sign on the tablet.
- Sending the inspection report -- Generate the PDF and email it to the property owner.
- Creating a follow-up inspection -- Carry open findings forward to a re-inspection.
- Inspection statuses -- What each status means and when each one applies.
How to get to Inspections

- The inspector walks the building, adding findings as they go.
- The inspector signs the inspection. The property representative signs as well.
- The inspector generates the PDF report and emails it to the owner.
- If there are open findings, the inspector creates a follow-up inspection to track the corrections.
