Once an inspection is signed, you can generate a PDF and email it to the property owner without leaving Fire. The PDF includes the findings, the photos you flagged, and both signatures.
Previewing the report
- Open the inspection.
- Click View Report.
- The HTML preview opens. Scroll through to confirm the findings, photos, and signatures look right.
Downloading the PDF
- From the inspection page or the report preview, click Download PDF.
- Save the file to your computer or share it directly from your browser.
Emailing the report
- From the inspection page, click Email Report.
- Enter the recipient email addresses. You can enter up to 10 recipients per send, separated by commas or semicolons.
- Optionally add a short message that goes in the body of the email.
- Click Send.
What is on the report
- Header -- The property address, the report number, the inspector, the inspection type, and the dates.
- Findings -- Grouped by severity (Critical, Major, Minor, Observation), with the code, description, location, and date found.
- Photos -- Only photos with Include in Report turned on appear here.
- Signatures -- Inspector signature image, representative signature image, and the typed representative name.
Tips
- If you need to keep an internal photo off the report (something only the bureau should see), leave Include in Report off on that photo.
- The email message is short by design -- the report is the document. Use the message field to remind the owner about the response window or follow-up date.
