The Hydrants module is where your agency keeps a complete record of every hydrant in your district. You can see every hydrant on a map, look up an individual hydrant, record flow tests, log inspections and maintenance, and import your existing hydrant list from a spreadsheet.
What is in the module
- The hydrant map -- Every hydrant in your district on one map, color coded by status, with filters by status and type.
- The hydrant list -- The same hydrants as a sortable, filterable table.
- Adding a hydrant -- How to create a new hydrant record.
- The hydrant detail page -- What you see when you open a hydrant, including its info, Street View, and tabs for flow tests, maintenance, and inspections.
- Recording a flow test -- The NFPA 291 flow test form with the automatic GPM and color class calculator.
- Recording a hydrant inspection -- Pass, fail, deficiencies, photos, and follow-up tracking.
- Adding a maintenance record -- Painting, flushing, repair, winterization, and other work types.
- Importing hydrants from a CSV -- Bring an existing hydrant list into Fire in one upload.
How to get to Hydrants
- Sign in to the SSO dashboard at sso.unified-apps.com.
- On the Fire tile, click Hydrants, or open the Fire app and click Hydrants in the menu.
Tips
- If you are setting up Hydrants for the first time, start by importing your existing hydrant list. It is faster than entering each hydrant one by one.
- After you import, open the map to confirm every hydrant landed at the right coordinates.
