The hydrant detail page is where you find everything that has happened to a particular hydrant. Open it from a pin on the map, from a row in the list, or by clicking the eye icon next to a hydrant.
What you see
Info card
The top of the page shows the basic details: type, ownership, color code, make and model, year installed, cross street, connection types, and any notes. There is also a row showing who added the hydrant and when.
Map and Street View
Below the info card is a small map showing the hydrant's pin, and a Google Street View viewer pointed at the address. You can rotate Street View, then click Save POV to remember that angle for the next time you open the page.
The three tabs
- Flow Tests -- Every flow test you have recorded, with the pressure readings, the GPM result, and the NFPA color class. See Recording a flow test.
- Maintenance -- Every maintenance record, with the work type and the technician. See Adding a maintenance record.
- Inspections -- Every inspection, with the scheduled and completed dates, the inspector, the result, and any deficiencies. See Recording a hydrant inspection.
Editing the hydrant
The Edit button at the top right reopens the hydrant form so you can change any of the basic details. The three tabs below use their own forms to add flow tests, maintenance, and inspections.
Tips
- If a recent flow test exists, the page shows a summary card at the top with the most recent GPM, the NFPA class, and a warning if the residual pressure dropped below 20 PSI.
- The Street View image is a snapshot. If construction has changed the area, it will look out of date until you save a new angle.
