If the facility's requested time window works for you, the level of service is something one of your trucks can run, and you are happy to take the transport, click Confirm on the request card.

What happens when you confirm

  1. The request status flips to Confirmed and the request moves out of your Pending tab.
  2. The facility is notified by email, text, or both, depending on how they have set up their notification preferences.
  3. CAD creates a new incident for you, pre-populated with everything from the request — the time window, the level of service, the addresses, the patient count, and the reference number.

What to do next

Open the incident from your incidents list and assign a unit the same way you would for any other incident. You do not have to retype the addresses, the patient information, or the time window — all of that came across with the confirm.

If you need a different time before you can accept, do not click Confirm. Click Counter-offer instead. See Counter-offering a transport request.
