The most common case where you cannot just confirm a request is that the time window the facility asked for is already full, but you can do the transport at a slightly different time. Instead of declining, click Counter-offer on the request card.
The counter-offer form
A small form opens where you propose a different time:
- Date — the date you can run the transport.
- Earliest start and Latest end — the new time window you can fit the transport into.
- Message — a short note to the facility explaining the change. Something like, the slot you asked for is full, but I have a truck open thirty minutes earlier or two hours later, would either of those work?
Click Submit to send the counter-offer.
What happens after you submit
- The request moves into your Counter-Offered tab.
- The facility receives an email and a text message with a one-click link that takes them straight to the request.
- A banner shows up on their dashboard the next time they open Facility Transport Hub.
How the facility responds
- If they accept, the request flips to confirmed and the workflow picks back up the same as a normal confirm — pre-populated incident, ready for unit assignment.
- If they counter back with a different proposal of their own, the request comes back into your inbox and the conversation continues until one of you accepts.
This is the way to keep transports moving without saying no, and without picking up the phone.
