Using drag and drop on the calendar

The four things you can drag

• Assign an incident — drag a card from the unassigned panel onto the unit you want.
• Reassign an incident — drag a block from one unit's row onto another.
• Unassign an incident — drag a block off the timeline and into the unassigned panel.
• Reschedule an incident — drag a block to a different time slot on the same unit's row.

CAD asks you to confirm

Every drag action prompts you to confirm before the change is saved. This keeps you from accidentally moving something with a stray click.

When drag and drop saves you time

If you spend the first 15 minutes of every shift looking at a list of transports and figuring out which unit runs which, the calendar is faster than opening each incident and setting a unit one at a time. Drag each unassigned card onto the unit that should run it, confirm, and move on.
