What the QA Flags page shows
The QA Flags page lists every quality audit flag raised on your agency's claims, newest first, 25 per page. Every portal role can open it, including Viewer. For a Viewer account it is the only list page in the portal.
Opening the page
Sign into the portal (see The client portal), then click QA Flags in the menu. Each row shows:
- Flag Code - the short code of the quality rule that raised the flag.
- Incident # - the incident number of the claim the flag is on.
- Severity - Critical (red), High (orange), Medium (yellow), or Low (green).
- Description - what the rule found on the claim.
- Status - Open, Resolved, or Dismissed.
- Resolved By - who on the billing team closed the flag, when it has been closed.
- Date - when the flag was raised.
Reading the statuses
- Open - the issue still needs attention. These are the rows worth acting on.
- Resolved - the billing team confirmed the issue was fixed.
- Dismissed - the billing team reviewed the flag and closed it without a change.
The portal is read-only, so flags cannot be resolved or dismissed here. The billing team handles that in the full Billing app from the QA work queue.
Example
A billing liaison opens QA Flags on Monday and scans the Status column for Open rows. One Critical flag sits on incident 2026-0413 with a description about a missing patient signature. The liaison asks the crew to complete the signature in their charting software and send the corrected report over. A few days later the same row shows Resolved, with the biller's name in the Resolved By column.
Tips
- Work the reddest rows first. Critical and High flags are the ones most likely to hold up payment.
- The count pill on the Claims list tells you a claim has flags. This page tells you what they are and whether they are still open.
