Two systems record the same event. The chart says a medic gave 100 micrograms of fentanyl; the drug record says a vial left the safe. Administration and Custody Cross-Check puts those two counts side by side for the same window.

Before you start: This report compares two records of the same event, so your agency needs both CloudPCR and Drug Tracking. If one is missing, the page says so instead of showing half a comparison.
How to use it
- From the navigation, click Compliance.
- Click Administration and Custody Cross-Check.
- Pick a Range. Both sides use the same window.
- Read By drug first, then By provider.
The By drug grid
Columns are Drug, Recorded as, On charts, In drug records, Difference, and Status. Recorded as is the name the other system used, which is where most differences turn out to come from.
Reading the status column
- Counts agree — both records show the same number. Nothing to do.
- Counts differ — one side has more than the other. Worth opening.
- Chart record only — doses documented on charts with no matching drug record.
- Drug record only — drug records with nothing on the chart side.
The Difference column is charts minus drug records, so a positive number means the charts are ahead.
What the comparison can and cannot do
The two records do not share a per-chart reference, so this matches on drug name and, where a name lines up on both sides, on provider. A drug that appears on one side alone most often means it is written differently in the other place — Fentanyl in your product list against a longer clinical name on the chart. Fix the naming and the row lines up.
The By provider section only lists people whose name resolves in both places. The counts under the heading tell you how many did not, so you know how much of the picture you are looking at.
Tips
- Sort by Difference. The biggest gaps are usually a naming mismatch, not a missing dose.
- Check Inventory Variance alongside this. A count that differs here plus stock short there is the combination worth chasing.
- Run it monthly rather than weekly. Short windows split doses across the boundary and manufacture differences.
