The timezone setting controls how every date and time is displayed in the HR app. If your timezone is wrong, certification expiration dates, issue dates, and report timestamps will be off. The setting lives on the Preferences page and applies to the whole agency.
Setting your timezone
- Click your name at the bottom of the navigation to open the profile dropdown.
- Click Settings.
- Open the Preferences card.
- Pick your agency's timezone from the Timezone dropdown. The list covers US, Canada, and Mexico zones.
- Click Save.
When to check this
Check your timezone when you first set up the HR app and whenever your agency moves to a different time zone. If your state observes daylight saving time, the system handles the switch automatically — you do not need to change the setting twice a year.
Example
Your agency is in Ohio. In Preferences you pick "America/New_York" and click Save. All dates and times throughout the HR app now display in Eastern time. When daylight saving time starts in March, the system adjusts automatically.
