The My Equipment tab (titled My Issued Gear at the top of the page) shows every piece of equipment that has been issued to you. You cannot add items here — an administrator assigns equipment to you — but you can see exactly what you are responsible for.
What you will see
Each row shows:
- Item — the equipment name and the quantity issued.
- Issued — the date it was given to you.
- Due Back — the return date, if there is one. Some items are permanent assignments and have no due date.
- Returned — the date it was returned, when applicable.
- Status — Checked Out, Overdue, or Returned.
Returning equipment
When you return an item, bring it to whoever manages equipment for your agency. They will mark it as returned in the system, and it will update on your page. You do not mark items as returned yourself — this prevents misunderstandings about whether something was actually handed back.
Example
Kevin is issued a new pager on January 5. He sees it on his My Equipment page with no due date, meaning it is a permanent assignment. In March, he is also loaned a training radio due back on March 20. Both items appear on his page. He returns the radio on March 19, and his administrator marks it returned; the status updates from Checked Out to Returned.
