The onboarding tracker helps you walk new hires through their first 90 days, upload the documents you collect from them, and move them into active status when they are done.
How it works
The onboarding list shows anyone whose current status is set to Onboarding. New hires appear here once their profile is set to that status from the directory. Each row shows the person's name, rank, department, hire date, and current status.
Uploading a document
- Click Personnel in the menu and open the Onboarding tab.
- Find the new hire in the list.
- Click Upload Document in the row actions.
- Write a short description and choose the file.
- Submit the form. The document is attached to the person's profile and tagged as Onboarding.
Updating status
Use the Update Status row action to move someone from Onboarding to Active (or to Leave, Retired, or Separated). Pick the new status, set the effective date, add a reason, and submit.
Example
Sarah starts as a new EMT on March 1 and her profile is set to Onboarding. Over the first two weeks, you use Upload Document to add her signed handbook acknowledgment and emergency contact form. By day 30, everything is in place — you open Update Status, pick Active with today's effective date, and submit.
Tip: Check the onboarding list every week so you catch missing documents early.
