When employees submit bids from the Job Board, those bids attach to the positions in your agency. You can see who is interested, read their notes, and record a decision.

Finding positions with bids

  1. Click Personnel in the menu and open the Positions tab.
  2. Look at the Bids column. Positions with pending bids show a count.

Reviewing bids on a position

  1. Open the row action menu on a position with bids and click Manage Bids.
  2. The modal shows each pending bid with the employee's name, the date submitted, and the message they sent.
  3. To record a decision, pick the bid from the Pending Bid dropdown, choose Accept or Decline, and add any review notes.
  4. Submit the form. The bid moves out of pending and the employee who submitted it is tied to your decision with a timestamp.

Looking at past bids

Use the Bid History row action (visible on any position that has ever had a bid) to see a full log of pending, accepted, and declined bids with reviewer and timestamp.

What the bid system is for

The bid system tells you who is interested. From there, the selection process happens through your agency's normal channels — interviews, reviews with the chief, seniority considerations, or whatever process your department follows.

Example

You post an opening for a lieutenant position at Station 5 and turn on Visible on Job Board. Three firefighters submit bids over the next two weeks. You open the position, click Manage Bids, review each message, share the list with the chief, and come back to mark the decided bid Accepted and the others Declined with short review notes.
