What this report shows

The template compliance report compares what should be at each location (according to the template) with what is actually there. It is the fastest way to see which locations are properly stocked and which are not.

How to access it

Go to Reporting from the menu and select Template Compliance. This section is only available to admins.

How to read it

The report lists each templated location with its items. For each item, you see:

  • Par — the ideal quantity set in the template.
  • Actual — the current on-hand quantity.
  • Variance — the difference between actual and par. Shown as "In Range" when on par, a positive number like "+1" when over, or a negative number like "-2" when short.

Shortages are highlighted in red and overages in amber so they stand out.

Example

You pull the template compliance report to get a fleet-wide view before a holiday weekend. Medic 7 is fully stocked. Medic 12 is short 1 Fentanyl and 1 Midazolam. Medic 3 has an extra Morphine (over par by 1). You send a message to Medic 12's crew to restock before going in service and make a note about Medic 3's overage.

Why this matters

This report is especially useful after a busy day when multiple units may have used drugs on calls. Instead of checking each unit individually, you can see the whole picture in one place.

Tip

If a location consistently shows the same item below par, it may be a sign that the par level is set too low for your call volume. Consider adjusting the template rather than restocking the same item every shift.
