What qualifications are

Qualifications are labels you assign to users to indicate their certification level or role within your agency. Common examples include Paramedic, EMT, AEMT, Supervisor, and Drug Compliance Officer.

How to create a qualification

  1. Open your profile menu at the bottom of the navigation and choose Settings.
  2. Click the Qualifications tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click Add Qualification.
  4. Enter a name for the qualification (e.g., "Paramedic") and an optional description.
  5. Save.

Assigning qualifications to users

After creating a qualification, assign it from the Users tab. Open the user you want to update, pick one or more qualifications from the list, and save.

How qualifications are used

Qualifications help your agency group people by certification level. The Qualifications tab shows how many users at your company hold each qualification, which is a quick way to confirm coverage.

Example

Your agency wants to make sure at least one paramedic is assigned to every ALS unit. You create a Paramedic qualification, open the Users tab, and add that qualification to every crew member who holds the cert. The Qualifications tab then shows at a glance how many paramedics your company has on file.

Tip

Keep your qualification list simple and consistent. Having "Paramedic," "PM," and "Medic" as three separate qualifications creates confusion. Pick one name for each level and stick with it.
