The Scheduled Hours & Earnings card is the main summary on your dashboard. It tells you what you are scheduled for, what you have actually worked, and what you are earning.

What each number means

  • Scheduled Hours -- the total regular hours you are scheduled to work, up to 40 per week. If you are scheduled for 36 hours, this shows 36.
  • Overtime Scheduled -- any scheduled hours over 40 for the week. If you are scheduled for 48 hours, this shows 8.
  • Worked Hours -- how many regular hours you have actually punched in and out for. This number grows as you complete shifts.
  • Overtime Worked -- worked hours that fall into overtime.
  • Gross Earnings (Current Pay Period) -- an estimate of your pay based on your worked hours and pay rate. The previous pay period's earnings appear underneath for comparison.

Scheduled versus worked

The scheduled hours come from the shifts your supervisor has assigned to you. The worked hours come from your actual punch-in and punch-out records. The two numbers may not match -- if you punch in late or leave early, your worked hours will be less than your scheduled hours.

Example

Say you are scheduled for three 12-hour shifts this week (36 hours total). By Wednesday evening, you have completed two shifts and punched a total of 24.5 hours. The card would show:

  • Scheduled Hours: 36
  • Overtime Scheduled: 0
  • Worked Hours: 24.5
  • Gross Earnings: based on 24.5 hours at your regular rate

After your third shift, worked hours would climb close to 36 and the earnings estimate would update.
