When you need this

Things change during a shift. Someone clocks out early and someone else covers. The primary vehicle has a mechanical issue and you swap to a backup. These are changes to the active unit, not the template — the template keeps its original defaults for tomorrow.

Step by step

  1. Find the unit in the active units table on the dashboard.
  2. Open the ... actions menu on the row.
  3. Click Edit Unit.
  4. Change whatever needs to change — crew members, vehicle, call sign, or level of care for the shift.
  5. Click Save Changes.

The change takes effect immediately. The active units table, the map, and any in-progress incidents update at the same time.

The template is not affected

Editing an active unit changes only that specific shift's instance. When you activate the same template tomorrow, it will still use the original defaults.

Tip: If you are constantly editing active units to match reality, your template is probably out of date. Go to Units, open the template, and update its defaults to match how the unit actually runs.
