Every call keeps a record of when each step happened and who changed what. Open a call and you will find two tabs for it: Times and History.
Call times
Click the Times tab. Call Times lists each step of the call in order:
- Call Received
- Dispatched
- Acknowledged
- En Route
- On Scene
- Transport Started
- At Destination
- Completed
Times fill in on their own as the call moves along. A step nobody reached shows Not recorded.
All times shown are in your local time.
Adding or correcting a time
- On the Times tab, find the step you want.
- Click Add if it says
Not recorded, or Edit to change one already there. - Set the date and time, then click Save.
Times you enter by hand are recorded in History alongside everything else, so it is always clear which times came from the call itself and which were filled in afterwards.
How long each step took
Below the times, How long each step took works out the gaps between them:
- Call to Dispatch
- Chute Time
- Response Time
- Time on Scene
- Transport Time
- Total Call Time
A duration needs both of its times to be filled in. If one is missing, the duration shows Not recorded until you add it.
Who changed what
Click the History tab. Who started this call sits at the top, then every change since, newest first. Each entry shows what changed, who changed it, where they were working, and when.
Changes can come from the incident form, the dispatch board, or the Unified dashboard, and the entry says which.
Long histories are shortened. Click Show more to see the rest.
Tip: if a duration looks wrong, check the two times it is built from rather than the duration itself. A response time that looks impossible is usually a dispatch or on-scene time that was never recorded.
