Waste and Witness Compliance reads the drug records rather than the charts. It covers every administration Drug Tracking knows about — the ones that came from a patient care report and the ones a crew logged by hand.

How to use it
- From the navigation, click Compliance.
- Click Waste and Witness Compliance.
- Pick a Range. The tiles give the headline numbers for the whole agency.
The tiles
- Administrations and Controlled — total doses, and how many were controlled.
- Waste events — how many of those doses had waste recorded.
- Waste with no witness — the number auditors ask about first.
- Countersign not finished — an employee was named as witness but never confirmed with their password. Usually a crew that captured the signature with no signal and never came back to it.
- Recorded in chart / by hand — how the records arrived. A high by-hand count at an agency using CloudPCR is worth a look.
The grid
One row per provider per drug: Provider, Drug, Schedule, Administrations, Waste events, Waste rate, No witness, Countersign not finished, Outside witness, Most frequent witness, and Last given. The agency median waste rate sits in the note above the grid so you have something to read each rate against.
Most frequent witness
One name witnessing nearly all of a provider's waste is a pattern reviewers look at, because a real witness rotation follows the shift schedule. It is also completely normal for partners who ride together every tour. The column reports the name and the share; it does not draw a conclusion.
Important: This column stays blank until a provider reaches five waste events in the window. Below that, "same witness every time" can mean two events with the same partner.
Tips
- Start with No witness sorted high. Those are the records that will not stand up on their own.
- Outside witness counts hospital staff who signed instead of a coworker. A high share is expected at agencies that waste at the emergency department.
- Use the spreadsheet icon above the grid to download the packet.
Where the data comes from
Drug Tracking, live. Charts submitted in CloudPCR push their medication records across automatically; agencies without CloudPCR log the same information on the Administrations page.
