Every flow test you record is saved in a table on the hydrant's detail page under the Flow Tests tab. This gives you a complete history of that hydrant's performance over time.
Columns
- Test Date -- When the test was performed.
- Static (PSI) -- The static pressure reading.
- Residual (PSI) -- The residual pressure reading.
- Pitot (PSI) -- The pitot gauge reading.
- Flow (GPM) -- The calculated or manually entered gallons per minute.
- Rated @ 20 PSI -- The rated capacity at 20 PSI residual. Shows a dash if it could not be calculated.
- Class -- The NFPA 291 classification shown as a colored badge: AA (blue), A (green), B (orange), or C (red).
- Technician -- The person who performed the test.
Sorting
Click any column header to sort by that column. The table sorts by test date (newest first) by default. Sorting by the Class column is a quick way to see whether a hydrant's classification has changed over the years.
Pagination
If a hydrant has many flow tests, the table pages the results. You can show 10 or 25 records per page using the control at the bottom.
Editing and deleting
Each row has an edit (pencil) icon to change the test data, and a delete (trash) icon to remove it. Deleting a test asks you to confirm before it is removed.
Example
You tested hydrant H-200 every year for the past five years. Open its detail page and click the Flow Tests tab. You see five rows sorted by date. The Class column shows green (Class A) for the first three years, then orange (Class B) for the last two. That tells you the water supply at that location has been declining and is worth investigating.
Tip
Compare flow test results year over year. A gradual drop in rated capacity often points to a water main problem or a partially closed valve, not the hydrant itself.
