The detail page is the home base for a single hydrant. It brings together everything you know about that hydrant in one place.

Header

At the top you see the hydrant number, a colored status badge (green for active, yellow for inactive, red for out of service), and the full address. Two buttons sit on the right: Edit to open the edit form, and Delete to remove the hydrant.

Details card

Below the header on the left is a card listing the hydrant's basic information:

  • Type (dry barrel or wet barrel)
  • Ownership (public or private)
  • Color code
  • Make and model
  • Year installed
  • Cross street
  • Connections (size and type for each outlet)

Map

To the right of the details card is a map zoomed in on the hydrant's location. This gives you a quick visual reference so you can see exactly where the hydrant sits relative to nearby streets and buildings.

Street view

Below the map, you can click the Street View button to toggle a ground-level photograph of the location. If someone has already saved a point of view for this hydrant, the photo opens at that saved angle. If not, it opens at a default angle. See the Using street view article for more details.

Tabs

The bottom half of the page has three tabs:

  • Flow Tests -- Shows a table of all flow test results and lets you add new ones. This tab is selected by default.
  • Maintenance -- Shows a table of all maintenance records (painting, flushing, repairs, etc.) and lets you add new entries.
  • Inspections -- Shows a table of all inspections and lets you add new ones, including deficiency lists and photo uploads.

Click a tab name to switch between them. Each tab has its own Add button, table, and sorting options.

Tip

Before a shift, pull up the detail page for a hydrant you plan to use during training. Check the latest flow test to know the available flow, and check the maintenance tab to see when it was last flushed. This saves time at the training site.
