When a service request is ready to be scheduled, the Schedule Service row action creates an appointment on the calendar.
How to schedule
- On the Service Tracker Request Queue, find the request you want to schedule.
- Open the Actions dropdown and click Schedule Service.
- The Create Service Appointment modal opens.
- Fill in the fields (see below).
- Click Submit.
The fields
- Vehicle (required) — pre-filled from the request.
- Scheduled Start (required, defaults to tomorrow) — when the vehicle needs to be at the shop.
- Expected Completion — when you expect the work to be done.
- Service Location (required) — the shop or lot where the work will happen.
- Service Provider — the vendor or mechanic.
- Internal Notes — anything the team needs to know about the job.
After you schedule
The appointment appears on the Service Schedule calendar on the day of Scheduled Start, in blue (the Scheduled color). You can drag it to reschedule, click it to edit details, or use the action buttons inside the appointment modal to mark it Started, Completed, or Cancelled. See The service schedule calendar.
