The Incident Reports list page with rows showing incident IDs, status badges, and incident types.

How to get there

Click any incident ID in the incidents grid (on the dashboard or the Incident Reports page). The incident detail page opens and shows you everything about that report.

Header

At the top you will see the incident ID, a colored status badge, who reported it, and when it was created. If the report can be edited, there is an Edit button. If it is ready to be sent for review, you will see a Submit for Review button.

Tabs

The detail page is organized into four tabs:

Overview

This tab shows the key facts at a glance: incident types, address, dispatch information, units that responded, and actions taken. Think of it as the executive summary of the report.

Details

This tab shows the conditional sections that applied to this incident. If it was a fire call, you will see the fire detail data here. If it involved hazmat, you will see the chemical information. Only the sections that were relevant to this specific incident appear.

QA & Reviews

This tab shows the review history. If a reviewer has approved, rejected, or commented on the report, those notes appear here. You can see who reviewed it, when, and what they said. The tab header shows a count of reviews so you can tell at a glance whether anyone has looked at it.

Submission

This tab shows whether the report has been submitted to the national system and what happened. If a submission failed, the error details appear here so you can figure out what went wrong.

Validation panel

The validation panel is also available from the detail page. Click the vertical tab labeled Valid on the right edge of the screen to open it and see the current validation status. See the validation panel article for more details.
