If the dispatcher cannot run your transport at the time you asked for, they will counter-offer with new times instead of declining. The counter-offer keeps the conversation going and usually saves you from having to file a fresh request.
How you find out
Three things happen when the dispatcher counter-offers:
- The request status moves to Counter-Offered on your dashboard.
- You get an email and a text message — assuming your notification preferences include both — with a one-click link.
- A banner appears on your dashboard the next time you open Facility Transport Hub, so you cannot miss it.
What you can do
Open the request — either by clicking the email or text link, clicking the banner on your dashboard, or clicking the row in your transport requests table. The detail page shows the dispatcher's proposed times along with any short message they included explaining the change.
You have two choices:
- Accept — the new time works for you. The request immediately flips to confirmed.
- Counter back — propose a different time of your own. The dispatcher receives your counter and can accept it or send another counter back.
If the new time absolutely will not work, you can also cancel the request and file a fresh one. See Canceling a request.
The one-click link
The link in your email or text takes you straight to the request without making you sign in again. It is single-use and expires after a short time, so use it when you receive it. If the link expires, sign in to Facility Transport Hub as you normally would and the request is still on your dashboard.
