If your patient's appointment moves, the patient is discharged earlier than expected, or the transport is no longer needed for any reason, you can cancel the request from your dashboard.

Step by step

  1. Open the request from your dashboard by clicking its row in the transport requests table.
  2. On the request detail page, click Cancel.
  3. The request status changes to Cancelled and the dispatcher is notified immediately.

When you can cancel

You can cancel a request as long as it is not yet completed. Pending, counter-offered, and confirmed requests can all be cancelled. Once a transport is completed, the record is locked.

If the transport is already in progress

If the unit is already on the way or has arrived for pickup, do not rely on the cancel button alone. Cancel in the portal so the dispatcher has the record, then call the dispatcher directly to make sure the unit is redirected. Time-sensitive changes are best handled both ways.
