Step by step
- Open Drug Tracking and go to Shift Checkout from the menu.
- Under Start a checkout, tick the checkbox next to each parent location you are responsible for this shift. You can select more than one. Locations that require a seal show a Requires seal badge.
- Any child compartments are included automatically. If Medic 12's drug box has three compartments (Narcotics, RSI, Cardiac), all three are part of the checkout.
- Click Begin Checkout.
Seal verification
Some locations are sealed with a numbered tamper-evident seal. Once the checkout is open, each sealed location shows an Expected seal value at the top of its card. Enter the number printed on the physical seal into the field, then tick Seal matches expected. If there is no seal on file yet, the label changes to Seal applied and recorded so you can record the seal you have placed.
What if I pick the wrong location?
You can cancel the checkout from the active checkout banner at the top of the page. Cancelling asks you for a reason (such as Wrong location selected) and records the cancellation — the checkout is kept in your history, not discarded.
Tip
Use Select all and Clear if your agency expects you to check out every rig and bag you are assigned to at once. Also make sure you have replacement seals nearby — you will need to record a new seal number for any sealed location when you check back in.
