At the top of every PCR, next to the save indicator, you will see a small round icon. This is the validation status. It tells you whether your PCR is ready to submit, without you having to click submit just to find out.

What the colors mean

  • Gray circle — CloudPCR has not checked the PCR yet, or you have changed something since the last check. Click the icon to run a fresh check.
  • Spinning blue circle — CloudPCR is checking the PCR right now. The full check takes about 20 to 30 seconds.
  • Green circle with a check — the PCR is valid. You can submit it.
  • Red circle with an exclamation — the PCR has errors. Click the icon (or click submit) to open the validation panel and see the list of issues.

How to use it

The icon is most useful as a quick "am I done?" check. Instead of clicking submit and waiting for the result, click the icon any time you want to know how close you are to being done. CloudPCR runs the check in the background and updates the icon when it finishes.

An example

You have been working on a long call all morning and you want to know how close you are. You glance at the validation icon — it is gray. You click it. The icon spins blue for about 25 seconds while CloudPCR runs the full validation. It comes back red with the count of errors. You click the icon again to open the validation panel and see what is still missing — three required times and a missing destination. You fix them, the icon turns green, and you submit.
