Every medication you give the patient gets its own entry on the Timeline. The entries become the official record of what you did and when.

Add a medication

  1. On the Timeline tab, tap Add Medication.
  2. The medication modal opens.
  3. Type the first few letters of the medication name. CloudPCR searches a national drug database (RxNorm) and shows matches.
  4. Pick the right strength and form.
  5. Enter the time you gave it.
  6. Enter the dose and the units.
  7. Pick the route (IV, IM, IO, oral, intranasal, etc.).
  8. Pick the patient's response — improved, no change, worsened.
  9. Pick any complications.
  10. Pick the prior authorization (standing order, online medical control, etc.).
  11. Pick the crew member who gave it.
  12. Tap Save.

Searching tips

  • You can search by brand name or generic name. They both find the same drug.
  • For drugs with multiple strengths (epinephrine 1:1000 vs 1:10000), the strength shows in the result so you can pick the right one.
  • If a drug is missing, ask your administrator — they may need to add it to your agency's formulary.

An example

You give a 60-year-old chest pain patient 324 mg of aspirin chewed and 0.4 mg of nitroglycerin sublingual. For the aspirin: tap Add Medication, type "asp", pick "Aspirin 81 mg chewable tablet," enter 324 mg, route Oral, response Improved, authorization Standing Order, crew member yourself. Save. Then tap Add Medication again for the nitro: type "nitro", pick "Nitroglycerin 0.4 mg sublingual," 0.4 mg, route Sublingual, response Improved, authorization Standing Order, crew member yourself. Save. Both drops on the timeline in the order you gave them.
