Every maintenance record you add is saved in a table on the hydrant's detail page under the Maintenance tab.

Columns

  • Date -- When the maintenance was performed.
  • Type -- The type of work (Painting, Flushing, Repair, etc.), shown as a badge.
  • Description -- A summary of what was done, trimmed to fit the column. Open the record to see the full text.
  • Technician -- Who performed the work.
  • Cost -- The dollar amount, if one was entered.

Sorting

The table sorts by date (newest first) by default. Click any column header to sort by that column instead.

Pagination

You can show 10 or 25 records per page. Use the controls at the bottom of the table to change pages.

Editing and deleting

Each row has an edit (pencil) icon to update the record and a delete (trash) icon to remove it. You will be asked to confirm before a record is deleted.

Example

Your department asks how much was spent on hydrant repairs this year. Open each hydrant's detail page, click the Maintenance tab, and look at the Cost column for records of type "Repair." For a small number of hydrants this is straightforward; for a large inventory, export the data and total it in a spreadsheet.

Tip

Sort by type to see all flushing records grouped together. This makes it easy to verify that every hydrant in your area was flushed on schedule.
