Before your team starts using Hydrants for real work, walk through this checklist in order. Each step builds on the one before it, so completing them in sequence gives you the smoothest launch.
Go Live checklist
- Import your existing hydrants (if you have data)
- Prepare a CSV with hydrant numbers, addresses, and coordinates.
- Use the import tool to load them in bulk.
- Or add hydrants one at a time
- If you are starting fresh, add your first few hydrants using the map and address autocomplete.
- Verify hydrant details
- Spot-check a few imported hydrants to make sure addresses, types, ownership, and connection types came through correctly.
- Record baseline flow tests
- For your most critical hydrants, go to each detail page and add the most recent flow test data so you have a starting point.
- Schedule your first inspections
- Add upcoming inspection dates to the hydrants that are due next so your team knows where to start.
- Have your inspectors do a practice run
- Open a hydrant detail page, record a test flow test and inspection, and verify the data shows up correctly.
