If you find something that is not working, have an idea for a new feature, or want to suggest an improvement, you can submit feedback directly from inside Checksheets.
How to submit feedback
- Click the blue circle help icon in the bottom-right corner of any page. The Help and Support panel slides in.
- Open the Submit Bug/Issue tab.
- Click the New button above the feedback table.
- Pick the Feedback Type: Bug/Issue, Feature Request, or Improvement.
- Give it a short Title.
- Describe the issue or idea in the Description box. Be as specific as you can.
- Submit the form.
Types of feedback
- Bug/Issue — something is broken or not working the way it should. For example, "The fuel gauge field does not save my selection on the engine daily check."
- Feature Request — an idea for something new. For example, "It would be helpful if I could set a checksheet to repeat automatically every morning."
- Improvement — a suggestion for making something that already exists work better. For example, "The reporting filters should remember my last selection."
Writing a good bug report
The more detail you provide, the faster the issue can be fixed. Include:
- What you were doing when the problem happened.
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
- The template name and the item that was affected, if applicable.
An example
You are filling out the morning truck check and you notice that the "Portable radio" item does not save your answer. You move to the next field and come back, and the radio item is blank again. You click the help icon, open the Submit Bug/Issue tab, click New, pick Bug/Issue, title it "Portable Radio item does not save," and write a description: "On the Engine Daily Check template, the Portable Radio item in the Cab section does not save. I select Pass, move to the next item, and when I come back the field is empty. This happened on my phone using Chrome." That gives the team everything they need to find and fix the problem.
Tip: Your previous feedback submissions are listed in the same tab, so you can check the status of anything you sent earlier.
