You can assign a checksheet to a specific user. When you do, the assigned checklist appears in that person's queue so they know it is their responsibility.

How to assign

  1. Find the published template you want to assign.
  2. Choose the assign option.
  3. Pick the user you want to assign it to.
  4. The assignment is created and the user will see it the next time they open Checksheets.

When to use assignments

Assignments are useful when you want a specific person to complete a specific checklist. For example:

  • Assigning the morning narcotics count to the paramedic on duty.
  • Assigning a weekly SCBA inspection to a particular firefighter.
  • Assigning a station inspection to the shift captain.

An example

Your department does a narcotics count every shift change. The oncoming paramedic is responsible for counting. You assign the "Narcotics Count" checklist to Paramedic Jones, who is coming on at 0700. When Jones signs in and opens Checksheets, the narcotics count is waiting in the queue. Jones starts the session, counts the vials, fills in the numbers, gets a witness signature, and submits.

What if the person does not complete it

The assignment stays in their queue until they start a session from it. You can check on outstanding assignments from the reporting area to see who has completed theirs and who has not.
